Contact: Sakis Gouzonis, Contact FormSakis participated in the 9th UK Songwriting Contest 2010 with two of his music compositions, "Elegy", and "Eternal Peace". The UK Songwriting Contest is an annual music contest that gives international artists the opportunity to showcase their songs to the London music industry.
There were over 5.000 entries this year from the United States of America, Canada, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Europe. Sakis made it to the semi-finals and was awarded two semi-finalist certificates for his original music compositions Elegy, and Eternal Peace.
2010 judges included the top producer, musical director and doctor of music Richard Niles, the top producer and songwriter Simon Ellis, the well known BBC Radio Controller Lesley Douglas (now a Director and Head of TV at Universal Music UK), the Stage's writer, blogger and BBC radio guest expert Scott Matthewman, and many others.

Contact: Sakis Gouzonis, Contact FormLast night, the 2nd Meeting of Music & Poetry was held in Volos, Greece, and attended by hundreds of music industry professionals, artists, and listeners. Sakis was awarded 1st Prize for his New Earth album. This Prize is awarded by the chairman of the International Art Society, Mr. Yorgos Foudoulis, who is also the director of the Examination Center of the Trinity College and the Conservatory bearing his name.
During the 2nd Meeting of Music & Poetry, a special cerenomy for the winners of the 7th International Music Composition Contest 2009 took place. Sakis was awarded 2nd Prize for his original music composition Elohim. Judges for this prestigious contest were music industry professionals who look for artists and bands whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence.

The UK Songwriting Contest is an annual music contest that awards the best international songwriters. Artists from around the globe can showcase their songs to the London music industry.
This year, almost 6.000 songs were submitted to the UK Songwriting Contest by artists from all over the world. Sakis made it to the semi-finals and was awarded a semi-finalist certificate for his original music composition Elohim.
2009 judges were UK celebrities.

SakisGouzonis.com is pleased to announce the release of Sakis Gouzonis's second studio album, New Earth. The album consists of ten new electronic music tracks produced by international award winning composer Sakis Gouzonis.
New Earth is the follow-up to Sakis's highly acclaimed First Contact album, which was released in 2008 and included three international award winning compositions, "Anthem Of Love" (3rd Prize in the 5th International Music Composition Contest 2007), "Give Me A Chance" (1st Commendation Award in the 5th International Music Composition Contest 2007), and "Elegy" (3rd Prize in the 6th Composition Competition 2008).
Kenneth Morton, editor of Highwire Daze magazine, wrote about Sakis's debut album, First Contact: "Definitely a world class act, tunes such as Anthem Of Love, A Star Brighter Than Others, and Give Me A Chance enchant the senses with their sheer vibrancy. Elegy is especially sweeping, sounding like a grand score to a big Hollywood epic."
With the release of the album New Earth, Sakis aspires to continue the huge success of his debut album, First Contact. New Earth is available worldwide in MP3 and CD format.
